First Day In Coop All 3 Birds With Bloody Beaks!

All 3 birds have blood on their beaks! I can't see any reason why. Maybe from trying to shove their beaks through the holes in the hw cloth? The cloth is 1/2 inch. Hard to tell from the pic but they won't sit still. Any input? I do see blood on the wire in a couple spots

My chicks sometimes do that. It usually means that they were trying to get out because they saw something interesting. Instead, they slammed into the HW cloth. I wouldn't worry too much. (on a side note: Do they have enough space in their coop? This could be a reason why they were trying to get out.)

They have plenty of room I think. I took a closer look and can't see any obvious fractures on the beaks. Hopefully they just did what you said. Something might have frightened them as well we do live right in the middle of town and this is the first day in the coop/run. I went ahead and locked them down in the coop for the night. Guess I will take a look when I let them out in the morning
