First dozen!

Heres a pic of my first dozen. Ten are from BOs, and the 2 sl darker in the middle are from my BR. What good girls! Considering the cost of coop and feed etc- I figure each of these is worth $100!!

No, they are not cheap, but well worth it in the taste of the eggs and the entertainment value of the chickens!

Today was the first all three of my girls layed. So that makes 23 total. I have saved the first. I have given 6 each to my folks, and 2 neighbors (I live in the city , so want to keep my neighbors happy) and have eaten 3. They seem to cook faster and the taste is much richer. yummy!

It was so great when our girls started laying. The eggs are soooo good. Before I got chickens, I was obsessed. After I got them, I was more obsessed.
