Daffy finished laying her first clutch of 26 last month.
Are you going to let her sit on them?
What breed is she?
How old is she?
So I've been told. Daffy's a Muscovy which is known for laying large clutches but apparently even for a Muscovy it was a lot.26?! That’s a lot!

Wow!! Thank you so much! Any tips on figuring out which duck is laying the eggs?Even if you take them (which I do and they are yummy) she will continue to lay what would fill a nest, 10-30. Then, she will most likely stop for a day or two, then repeat. When they are young they tend to lay through the winter. As they age, depending on the type, they often molt in the fall and take a break from laying for a few months. Then, they start back in early spring. We love eating duck eggs. Hope you enjoy them too.
Wow! That’s impressiveMy pekin lays better then my chickens she lays everyday
Sorry, not really. You can let them out early and see if one stays in, but that doesn’t prove much. I have heard some say to squirt different colors of food coloring in their vents the night before and see what color you find on the eggs in the morning. I never really cared who was laying, just that someone was.Wow!! Thank you so much! Any tips on figuring out which duck is laying the eggs?
