I was shocked since it seems that may people's EE hens don't seem to start laying until close to 30 weeks and on top of that, it's been above freezing two days in the last month and we got like 6 inches of snow today!

You are right, it does seem nice and early for an EE. Mine are still withholding the goods at 30 weeks, though one is squatting now.

Pretty colour! I've never seen that colour egg before. Only with robins.
