WARNING: GRAPHIC BLOODY PHOTO.
I’m so worried about my 2 month old chicks, they started pooping a LOT of blood over past 2 days! 😧

I don’t know what has happened. I haven’t given them anything other than crumble for their age, 9 weeks.
I’m wondering if they got into some egg yolk (1 raw egg for all 4 hens) that I gave the older hens and they gobbled up, I have always had the 3 chicks separated by a rabbit cage from the rest of the flock in the fenced run area.

Vet tested yesterday for Coccidiosis & parasites, all negative from all 3 chickens. She had me only bring one in and prescribed phosphorus for a water additive daily. So far no change. I’m just worried!!

And my 4 hens are healthy as can be. I have moved the 3 chicks to quarantine in my sunroom to keep a close watch until they’re healed.

SORRY about the graphic photo…. I am desperate to save my chickensi. I love them and spoil them, I will do whatever I need. Should I treat them for Coccidiosis anyway?

Are all of them pooping blood?

Yes, I would treat for Coccidiosis, but the bloody stools may be caused by something else. Any chance they ingested something sharp like a staple, glass, nail, etc.?

Did the Vet discuss what the purpose of Phosphorous was for?

3 days now- I believe it’s 2 pooping blood. Now there’s an all white mucusy splat accompanying the rest here and there. 😩
I’m checking on them hourly and they are lethargic but still drinking. Not eating much today.
Thank you all

That's nonsense what the vet told you to do by giving them Phosphorus. It'll do nothing to treat coccidiosis because that's what it is.
What you need is Toltrazuril (Endocox) to treat your chicks IF it isnt too late which I suspect it is. I've dealt with the exact same thing and was confirmed by necropsy that coccidiosis had taken over.
Here's where you can order Toltrazuril.

This vet is a joke! That amount of blood could mean
- cocci
- rat poison
- ingestion of a sharp object

phosporous does absolutely nothing! And I mean, nothing at all.
