First EE Egg!!!!

they can lay blue, green, greeny blue, (and any variation of that lol), brown or even pink. Depends on what breeds are in them

My EE that is laying does a shy blue egg, almost like a robins egg, but bigger. They're so pretty!

When they start laying, the color of the shell is deeper. After some months of laying the color decreases.

I'm waiting on #3 to lay...she has red face/comb and is squatting but no eggs yet!

Congrats...so much fun to find colored eggs in your nest boxes!

Congratulations!! How old is she? I'm eagerly awaiting my first EE eggs, I have 2 EE hens but they are only 17 weeks old. I'm wondering how long i have to wait. (One has a scissor beak, so she's not nearly so far along developmentally.) I'm excited for you. Can't wait to see what colors I get.

Thanks everyone! I was really surprised by the size of the egg. She is the smallest chicken I have and is laying an egg the same size as my SLW that has been laying for over 2 weeks. She is 23 weeks and 4 days old. I have another EE that doesn't even look like it will be soon so I think she's going to be a hold out.
