I got my first egg today! Its at 18 weeks old, and the egg is TINY!
It came from either the orpington or black australorp. Both have been clucking a lot today.
Its only 27 grams!

Don't worry they'll get larger. Congratulations!

Super happy about it! Its a perfectly shaped egg, will open it today to see if it has any yolk. I haven't fed them layer feed or oyster shells yet, so I just got out the oyster shell. Time to get layer feed i guess.

I found my first egg today too!! But they ate it.

Congratulations!!! It was exciting and upsetting all at once. I hope I catch it faster next time!

Aww they're already eating their own eggs? I hope they don't turn that into a habit.

Im still trying to determine who laid the egg. I think its one of my orpingtons. It stopped clucking while the australorp is still clucking somewhat.
