Happy Dance!!! Now for the other 6 girls to start. Then in another 10 weeks we will be waiting on 5 BO to start.
 
Got a BO egg yesterday that wasnt soft!! Yay!!! Wish i new wich of my 6 buffs it was so i could hug them!!! Lol! Now up to 4 layers in my flock, 1 turken, 1 black sex link, and 1 slw and nkw a buff, and still have 5 buffs left to start laying!

Congrats...that looked like hard work!!... I got another softy today. i added oyster shell and giving them only layer crumble.... a little vet rx just incase and no grass or treats for a few days ....!! a little experimentaion
 
Congrats to everyone on the eggs! I still cant figure out which buff layed the egg lol. Hoping I gets all four eggs today, doubtful since the weather here in Ok is cold and wet:( cant wait until im getting a dozen eggs a day!
 
My daughter went out to the coop to let the chickens out this morning. She found a egg without a shell in the hen house not in the nesting boxes. Could this be one of my other hens starting to lay? Should I be concerned that it doesn't have a shell. Personally I just figured it was a new hen starting to lay and didn't think much of it, but now I am second guessing myself.
