Sorry Ron, I went out of town soon after that post! I was so happy to see the first egg before I left. We now have 3 dozen eggs already!! It's so fun to find them.

Now that I've run out of girls that I'm waiting on the first egg for, I feel bereft. Hrm.... maybe it's time to go take back my EE from my friends.

We sent her off with the meat turkeys because she loves them so much, but they'll be harvested soon. Poor little EE.

I've been hearing egg song from my green-legged Buff Orpington for two weeks now. She's 23 weeks old, but no eggs yet. The 17 week old Barred Rock is starting to turn red.

Congrats on your niece, Pele. We found out on the weekend my sister is expecting her first (baby, not egg).

Found our first egg tonight YAY. We just got home from the beach and I locked the girls up for the night, I wasnt even going to bother checking the boxes but hubby decided to go back out and look. And he found a teeny tiny egg. So exciting 1 down 11 to go.
