first egg fertile?? can that happen..?

When my quail start to lay(2-3 weeks)
Will their first eggs be fertile? I have 2 boys who ALWAYS mate with them, but they have not started to lay
So.. main question here. Will their first eggs be fertile eggs???

I had that situation w my chickens, now just starting to lay. I check the yolks when I break them open. Yes, the eggs I have checked ARE fertile.

Many wait until 2 weeks of laying before incubation. Perhaps you should try to incubate the first few eggs, and let us know what happens. It will be another 4 or 5 weeks before I have new layers again, or I would. My mother always said, "Curiosity killed the cat." and would smack me when I quipped, "But satisfaction brings it back".
