First eggs always bring much excitement.
I can still recall my DW, and DD pulling a trick on me about 20+ years ago. They were both in garage where my chickens were kept in the beginning. They showed me a brown egg, and said that our chicken laid it. I believed it since all our store eggs were white. Then a slight movement of my daughter's hand, and egg dropped accidentally to the ground, and broke. I felt my heart sink at that point..
It was no accident. They were both in on that trick. Wife colored a white egg light brown by putting it into strong steeped Lipton tea.
Yes,,,,,,,,, I got taken that time..
