First egg from 19 week old red sex link!!

She laid it in the same nest as the older hen I was given. Imagine my surprise when I saw 2 eggs!!


The sex links is the dark brown egg

Will the eggs get bigger? I couldn't help my self I fired it up and the hold was about the size of a nickel or marble. Just very cute and petite.

They should get a bit bigger around 1-2 years. When they are 4+ years they might not be as big as they used to, but they'll still be eggs.

My Jersey Giant hen is 3 years now, and she's been laying everyday (molting as well).
