First egg from my 26 week old salmon faverolle!

I’m so beyond happy, my salmon faverolle Hennifer has just laid her first egg! I’m shocked as I wasn’t expecting any of my pullets (who aren’t already laying) to start laying until spring as the days are much shorter and colder now.

The colder has nothing to do with not laying. The shorter does.
She will likely lay throughout the winter.

Congrats! So pretty! My SF has been laying since the beg of Sept and all her eggs have still been really small (37-42g) todays was MASSIVE!!!!!!!!! it was 72g! guessing it is a double yolker!

I haven't cracked it yet. I still have about 16 before I get to it.

I'm still waiting on my salmon fav to lay. I think she's only five months so I still have some time. The two I had ages ago laid through the winter and were lovely, show quality girls. My new one...not so much hahaha
