First egg from new hens... but who laid it?

I was so excited when I walked into the coop today and discovered a new egg! I know it's new because it is a dark brown and none of my eggs have ever been this dark. I have one easter egger, three golden buffs, four columbian wyandotts, and one silver laced wyandott... all who are just reaching laying age. My daughter says it's her easter egger that laid it, and she just may be correct. It's so great to get new eggs

Especially since my older laying hens are mostly molting

Try looking at your pullets combs, the reddest one is likely to be your layer.
