First egg from olive egger..

I have an olive egger and she laid her first egg for me yesterday!
Only it is a light sage green color almost identical in color to my easter egger's egg.
What are the odds the brown pigment is just delayed and I still have a chance at a nice olive color? Or does it look like I will have 2 sage layers? Either way I'm happy, the sage is beautiful, but I have 3 more easter eggers that will be laying in the spring and I really wanted an olive egg

Someone local who got her from a hatchery. I'm not sure which one.

Both my olive eggers laid olive eggs from the get go, and they look a lot like welsummers with a little tuft of feathers on their head

The Olive eggs in the picture is theirs and then here's the girls.

There is some variant in egg color - but not as much as you are hoping.

I think they are very pretty.

This is my 2nd year with my OE & she just came back into lay…her first couple of eggs this year were very blue & they are now back to olive. I think it took a few days for her brown pigment to warm back up so maybe, possibly, there is a bit of hope for your girl!
