Our chickens are 26 weeks old and today when I went to the coop there it was...Our FIRST ever egg!

Unfortuantly when I checked on them last night it was dark and all I was able to do was do a head count on the roost. I am not sure when the egg was laid. It was cold when I got it this morning so there is a good possibility it is frozen.

Is there a way or tell? What happens to eggs when they feeze and thaw...are they still good?

Thanks!
