I received my first little deep green egg from my 40 day old quails this week! Texas A&M.
I had been cleaning out their pen and dumped some used shavings in the garden. When I got back to the pen there was this little egg sitting where it hadn't been the minute before. Awesome!
Seems I have 6 roos (all marked and singing their song) to 6 hens. I seperated 4 of those roos before they could get roudy as I saw the poor hens running for their lives the past few days.
Is it OK to keep 2 of my roos to the 6 hens all together safely in 1 pen?
If so, I now need to rehome 4 little guys really fast.
They are sweet birds and so nice to listen to.
