First Egg in Nest this Morning !!!!!!

We had an appointment today at the Temple Texas VA... So I didn't check nest.. and hubby had let the girls out... When we got home around 11:30 am... I looked in the nest box and thought that the egg in there looked different ( I have dummy wooden egg in each of the 2 boxes).. I went around and opened outside door and low and behold there was a small brown egg with spots on it in there !!!! Drats I wonder if she sang a song...
I have two Rhode Island Reds and on New Hampshire Red...
They have been going into nests off and on the last few days so hopefully all 3 will start laying soon... This works out good as the ducks have just about wound down and are molting..

Isn't it silly how we all get so excited by our "first" eggs? LOL I was excited just seeing the title of your thread!!! I love chickens!!! Mine AND yours!!! Congrats!
