First egg!!! Now what?

I replaced the egg yesterday with a golf ball and lo and behold, there was another one laid today! We're going to do the official duck egg taste test today.

mine started laying yesterday . we got 2 eggs and this morning 1 more I have 5 pekins and I am beginning to wonder how many are females none of them have the curly tail feather so I think I might have 5 hens. mine lay out in the yard and not in their shelter at all. I am keeping my eggs till this weekend when dd comes home so she can try them

You're lucky to have five hens. Out of six ducks we got two. We decided to postpone the taste test until this weekend. We'll be camping and we're going to cook them over an open fire.
