I have 7 chickens all 17 weeks and 3 days. My australorp laid her first egg on labor day. She has laid a tiny pullet like brown egg every day. The eggs are very cute but will they get bigger? I was expecting medium sized eggs at best.

Eggs will get bigger in days....weeks....or months.
Pullet eggs are called pullet eggs for a reason, they are usually smaller than hen eggs.

FYI-PSA.....semantics, maybe, but can be important communication terms when discussing chicken behavior.
Female chickens are called pullets until one year of age, then they are called hens.
Male chickens are called cockerels until one year of age, then they are called cocks(or cockbirds or roosters).
Age in weeks or months is always a good thing to note.

How appropriate that she laid her first on Labor Day! Congratulations on the beginning of production. As others have said, the eggs will get bigger -- and there will be more of them!
