First egg on the middle of winter

One of my girls laid her first egg. Right in the middle of winter. Fairly excited as it's my first one ever.

Looks like it is from my barred rock, can't believe it laid before the Ancona and araucana!

Yay!! First eggs are an event to celebrate. How old are the girls? (love your egg basket...)

All hatched on December 2nd. Has seemed a long wait, thought I might need to wait until after winter.
