First egg then nothing?

My welsh girl laid her first egg 3 or 4 days ago and we haven’t seen any since. I’ve done some basic searching around the coop, pen, and property but nothing.

Before I go into deep scour mode, is this somewhat common? She’s acting normally, no straining or anything. And the first egg was a double yolker.

Yeah it's normal. One of my hens stares laying and it took a couple of day for the second egg.

Just curious how old she was for the first egg. We have four 7 week old Welsh"s now and are looking forward to some eggs. Thanks and congrats!

Almost 22 weeks. She laid two days after I put a fake egg on the ground. She’d been flirting and mating for over a month so I thought it would be any day. Longest month ever! Haha! Also I found another egg late this morning after I posted (of course)
