FIRST EGG THIS AM!!!!!

I was in the shed & heard a great sound... a hen cackling "I layed an egg" .. she was a proud mother & I was proud of her also... I got this batch of 25 brown egg layers from McMurry . she is 16 weeks and 6 days old .. she is one of the sexlinks.. Now can I bring myself to eat it(the egg)? kind of seems like cannabalism

now can I expect the rest to start so early??

Congrats! Mine started laying only a week and a half ago. I finally was able to eat a few(they are pretty tiny yet!) yesterday! My hubby said it was a$300 omlet! I was so impressed at the flavor! Just incredible. Try it, you will love it!

Very Cool! My Partridge Rocks are only 2 wks old, so I've got some waiting to do! My goodness, eat the eggs! Consider it a gift from your birds, that's what it is.
