first egg today!!!

According to the lady at tractor supply when I purchased my first batch of chicks, they were 3 days old, making them 20 weeks old today. Two weeks later I bought 6 more. Well, I'm pleased to announce that I got my first egg today!!!! I just don't know who it's from I'm also a little anxious because when I bought my chicks, I also bought this cute little red egg basket to carry all my eggs .. . . The egg today was so tiny, that I think they may just fall through the openings if they don't get any bigger :/

Congrats on your first egg. Don't worry the eggs will get bigger as they lay more.

Eggs will gradually get bigger - meanwhile take some photos of the FIRST egg so you can proudly show it to friends, neighbors, relatives - anyone that stops by.

We started getting our first eggs too. The kids race out to check for them often. My oldest wouldn't let us eat any until we had a dozen! Lol. It was his experiment. Some are getting bigger and others are oddly shaped. Today we didn't find any. They taste great & it is eggciting
