I have a disabled duck that can’t be outside she just laid her first egg hard shell yesterday morning she was acting funny and then later that night she laid two more not hard and not sod shelled. One is that normal? She hasn’t laid any today but she did eat all day yesterday and she hasn’t ate today and she is still acting funny kinda panting. I just got her oyster shell to see if she will eat any and also the vitamins in pictures would that be good for her daily for vitamin d since she can’t be outside?

Sometimes when they first begin to lay they will lay weird eggs and normal eggs usually after a couple weeks the system has worked things out and they lay normally. If she has another egg in there you may want to give her some Calcium gluconate. it's a liquid and really helps to get the egg moving. She'll need 1 ml I give it by mouth but you have to know what your doing to do that so if your not use to giving meds by mouth you could try some in a small amount of water if she is drinking. she just needs the whole 1ml. You can give the Durvet vitamins. But when they may be having trouble passing an egg the calcium gluconate is the best. Or if she is drinking and you have tums you can crush one up into some water for her works in a pinch if you have some calcium in human form other than tums you can use that.
