FIRST EGG WHOA!!!!

I had a nice suprise when I got home. A perfect brown egg in the nest box next to my painted craft egg.
Who would think that a 41 year old man would get that excited about an egg.

I don't think that age has anything to do with it. Shoot, the way the cost of groceries are now it's exciting to get something for free!

Ha! I got excited all over again after my hens had gone broody, hatched out some chicks and THEN started laying again. I was so happy with them to be feeding us breakfast once more!
And I'm just a tiny bit older than you are!

I had my very first lovely brown egg yesterday. My father in law and I split 25 chick and were having a race to see who had the first egg. He called me yesterday afternoon to anounce he was the winner. Little did he know that I also had an egg. I was so happy, I jumped up and down.
