First Egg! Woo Hoo!

Found our first egg today in the run of all places! Small and heavy! . Thinking its one of these two ladies... The white one is really chatty today....:/

Congrats! Is it brown or cream colored? I'm waiting on my BR to lay and was wondering if I'd be able to tell the difference between her egg and my BAs egg when she finally starts laying.

I'd say a taupe color. I wouldn't call it a dark brown. Lol.

I really thinking its from the white one because it's so small and my BR is much bigger. The white one is about the size of a large pigeon.

Hmm well I can't tell you which one its from, I don't know a huge deal about chickens yet since I'm fairly new to them. But when my BA started laying eggs hers were pretty small, they weighed in at only 25g for the first few. She is a very good size though and I really wasn't expecting such a small egg from her. Her egg from today was 40g so she's slowly making them bigger after 3 1/2 weeks. Good luck in figuring out who laid it.

Well..the egg was from my BR.... She skipped two days and has now laid an egg three days in a row. Wow! She is on a roll!
