I have never seen a chicken egg so small. Isn't it adorable?!

What a cute tiny egg! I've never gotten one so small, what type of chicken laid it?

Wheaten Ameraucana rooster
My hens are Ameraucana, RIR and red stars.
I read you should not hatch the smaller eggs. I did hatch a couple. I have two very small pullets. I am wondering if it may have been one of those.

Quote: Wait, What?!?!
Rooster Egg?
Hahaha!
Is there a yolk in it?

How old are those pullets?
Hatching pullets eggs can make for small chicks, but they usually catch up to 'normal' chicken size by the time they are laying.

Lol! What is the age range for "pullet"? The little egg did have a tiny yolk!

The RIRs and red stars were 4 and 5 months old when I got them June 2016. I got 1 ameraucana roo and 3 hens in July. They were adults. I hatched the eggs Aug 20 and Sept 21 2016. Most of the eggs were standard size, a couple were smaller.
