First egg

She is roughly 24 or 25 weeks old. From the day we got her I started counting when we could expect eggs from her. I figured the first wee in May and she proved my math correct. LOL

That makes me excited for mine to lay! I'll most likely be on vacation when they do though.

Yay! My Ameraucana Princess Lay-a gave me her first egg today!!! She had been squatting for almost a week so I was trying to keep a close eye on her. When I went to check on her earlier she was in a nesting box with her mouth open like she was panting so I sat there for a few minutes and when I checked again...TaDa!!! I'm so excited I'm telling everyone! I sent a picture to my son and I put it on Facebook but I doubt any of those people will be impressed. LOL So I made sure I told fellow chicken lovers!

Isnt it exciting mine golden comets just started laying 3 out of 9 now each one has been just as exciting lol xx
