Ty! It's actually a blue egg under terrible light conditions. lol Will get a better pic when my phone is charged and can go outside. Beautiful egg, though.

Why would she? They just leave. Its normal unless she is broody.

I really don't know. lol I figured if they layed an egg, they would want to hatch it. I definately need to do some reading on it. What triggers their interest in hatching them?

Better lighting, but that is definately a lightly greenish looking blue egg. lol

Its hormones. Your bird is not broody. Hormones cause a hen to want to go broody, but they do no become broody every time they lay an egg.
