It can vary greatly depending upon the strain involved. Anywhere from 5 months to as much as a year old.

O. I mean while she is trying. She been in the coop about 2 hours and looks like she trying to lay an egg. She is 7 months old and her sister has been laying for a while but have not seen her since she lays at night or early morning. I have a camera in the coop to watch her.
