YEAH!! Congrats! Got my very first eggs today too!!! Not sure if I missed one yesterday, or both of my chickens decided to bless me with eggs at the same time. Most folks told me I would probably have to wait until spring because the light hours were shorter..guess they were wrong! I did the chicken dance for happiness. Now I have to figure out what egg dish I can make to test out these yummies.
The first egg is always the best. I remember when I was a kid, finding the egg was so exciting. And now, I think I still get just as excited with each batch of laying hens. Congrats on the first egg!
