I didn't have any more this morning, but will check when I get home tonight...debating if we should eat it (split for three of us) or if we should wait a few more days...my daughter (3 years old) wants to eat it now! HA! Was your second any bigger than your first?

Cook that egg for that girl! The thrill of eating that first egg will be a warm home memory for her someday. congrats on your first egg, nothing like it. More to come..........eggs.........more chickens...........more chickens...............

Ours have gotten bigger each day. Not a lot, but noticeable. My hen is laying late morning or early afternoon! And things I've read say they lay in the morning, so you can't believe everything you read...

I have one hen that laid one egg each morning for two weeks straight, she has tapered off a bit. Another that lays one early in the morning, late morning the next day, afternoon the day after, a day off and back to early morning. They all seem to have their own schedule.

Interesting schedules. Anyone know if there is an iPhone app that is used to capture egg laying??? I posted this question in the Random Ramblings forum the other day, but not response. I started to create an excel spreadsheet, but certainly there has to be "an app for that"!?! It would be so much easier to keep track!!!

I gave in and let my llyo eat the egg since it was his chicken. Said it was the best egg ever. Mine are laying after 8 am sometime but before 5. I will try to make it back out at noon and 3 for the next couple of days to narrow down the time. The second egg was exactly like the 1st.
