First egg!!

I'm so happy for you!

I know how LOooooong the wait is for that very first (and probably expensive) egg!

I've been waiting, too, and FINALLY got my first egg two days ago from one of my Easter Eggers (it was a green egg).

congratulations! I am still waiting and looking everyday for my very first egg. That egg looks yummy!

I am getting one a day from one of my older hens that I have had since Feb., but I am waiting for some of my new birds to start laying. Not really sure when that will be for I am not sure when they were hatched, they were given to me as a trade for two of my Barred Rock chick hens. I do know that they are older than my barred rocks for they are 8 1/2 weeks old. I guess I have a bit of a wait. After my trade hens the next to start are only 6 weeks then 4 week, 3 week and 3 days. so I got a long wait just to see how many hens I will have.

Now if I could just get one of my girls to give me my first egg...should be any day now and I'm anxiously waiting
