First egg

We have six red sex links and that are almost 18 weeks old. One of them gave us a first, really nice, egg. The picture attached is next to a store bought extra large egg. We just opened up the nesting boxes three days ago a put wooden eggs in each nest. This first egg was right in the middle of one of the nest boxes. I really have very smart chickens.

We got our first egg from our new batch of pullets yesterday!

Our little golden laced bantam was sitting in one of the nest boxes and I laughed at her; alas! the laugh was on me! later I discovered a tiny little egg where she had been sitting! it's so cute beside the huge BO eggs!
