First Egg

Hello, I just got my first egg today. My hens are still on the organic grower feed. Is this egg ok to eat or are the fist few not good to eat? Also, how long can the eggs stay outside before they go bad? Just incase the egg has been out for a few hours?

It's fine to eat--enjoy it! Depending on the temperature in the nest box, eggs can still be good for days and days. Cool but not freezing temps is similar to your fridge. But you don't want them to remain out there that long, due to the possibility of getting cracked or eaten by something. In extreme weather/temps, collect eggs twice a day if you can. Definitely at least daily.
