first egg

just got my first egg
yesterday there was a broken egg on the coop floor I think she laid it while on the roost.
this morning there was a nice brown egg in the nesting box.

I have 5 red sex link hens there are about 18 weeks old.
this is my first time raising chickens.

It's SOOOOOO nice to get that first egg. Mine was last summer - and she laid it underneath the roost. After that, though - it's been in the nest box. Congrats!
