First egg!

Just got our first egg today from our mean chicken Peppermint, we have 3 barred rocks that are 23 weeks old, Peppermint, Baker, and Cookie... and 2 Production Reds that are 3 weeks old named Sweet Pea and Nugget. One awesome dog that protects them as well as gets chased by Peppermint. Took that hen almost 5 hours to plop that egg out! She was a noisy all morning as she could be too. Hopefully our other 2 girls will start soon!!!
So exciting.

Congratulations! we just got our first egg 2 wks ago..have four cinnamon queens..so far only three are laying..it was funny got one the first day then two the next and three the next..felt like xmas...lol.
