First Egg!!

Hello y'all!! I'm an Okie from the SE part of the state, but born and raised a Texan. I grew up with a multitude of chickens and a menagerie of other animals. I married my Okie Indian and have been here every since.
I finally talked the hubs into building me a coop and run which he finished about a month ago. We stocked it with assorted breeds of
hens and pullets. We were about to give up when lo and behold, I got my first egg today!! It's a pretty pricey egg though as we spoil our girls rotten!
I have posted on a couple of other treads but never introduced myself. So again, Hello y'all!!

Congrats on that first egg!!! How EGG-citing! What are you going to do with it?? We couldn't wait to fry ours up the moment we brought it into the house.

The hubs gets to eat the first one because he worked so hard on the coop and run. We're crazy about these silly things!

P.S. It was a black australorp who gave us our first egg! She's almost as crazy about us as we are her!
