First Eggs today!!

Finally!!! My first eggs and I was lucky to have 2 laid today! My girls are 29 1/2 weeks old. My grandsons were as excited as I was!

Looks like 2 different hens, as well as 2 different sizes. What is in your flock ???

yes, two different hens....they are just mixed breeds all i can tell you is one is black, which had the egg on the left and one is white which had the bigger one on the right. i am beyond excited and grinning from ear to ear....only chicken people would understand!

Nice! When we got our first eggs, there were two also! That egg on the right is very large for a first egg! I know the excitement.

I was a little surprised to find them today because they have not been squatting and their was no egg song from either one. I had been watching them all day and just noticed that the 2 out of the 4 were going inside of the coop which is not like them.
