I am new to chicken keeping. A friend gave us some eggs last September and they hatched out on the 19th of October. They spent 3 months in my spare bedroom.
All of the ten eggs that hatched, five were hens and five were roosters.
We got a producer's pride coop and pen. We also recently purchased a smaller coop with pen and put three of the roosters in it in hopes that we can rehome them.
My chickens all are of different breeds. He just grabbed 12 eggs and most of his chickens are of different breeds too so.
But that's okay I'm not picky.
I hope to learn a lot and make a few mistakes as possible.
And I just picked up seven new chicks from the Rural King. But they won't live in the house near as long as the other ones did.
So yeah hi everybody and I'm looking forward to learning a lot.
