first eggs

I heard that you are supposed to give the chicks new feed(can't remember what it's called) after they lay the first eggs. And that the first eggs are
soft. Why not start the new feed a few weeks before estimated laying time. That way the first eggs won't be so soft.

Its not as important as having a "good egg ",as having a healthy baby.Dont be in a rush to push your babys to lay.They will know when it is time to do the pushin!Its kinda like when ya wet ya pants the first time ya mother takes ya trainers of?But sorta in reverse?!?lol
