First eggs

I got 2 Barred Rock pullets a month or so ago, age unknown, somewhat mistreated, toes on one curled, I'm assuming from a wire bottomed cage, very light weight. Well after being in a run by their self and some good food and lots of clean water, Laverne, I call them Laverne and Shirley, layed her first mini egg 3 days ago and Shirley layed her first today. Laverne's egg today is starting to show a size increase. I may be putting them in with the others shortly.

Our first dozen of eggs. My husband decided to eat one of the large green ones from EE and a double yolk. Doesn’t it look amazing?
