Thursday night we added two year old barred rocks to our flock. Our original flock is about 5 months old. The new ladies had been laying, but were in the process of molting. Yesterday I figured I had better get the laying boxed finished in the coop, so they would be ready for the older ones, once they were moved in.
Well.... as I was cleaning out the coop.. I found a teeny tiny egg hidden in the shavings!! AND, while I was working on the nesting boxes, one of my baby girls went into my storage area and layed another! yea!!! The older ones are laying as well.. we have had 5 eggs in two days - its so "EGG -citing!!!!!
