First eggs :)

hi Just had a look and she is charging around like a mad hen. Poor Lionel (male) just wants to sleep. She did have a go at another hen that backed down, I wonder if I got it wrong and its a male, I can not work out if she is my first batch of females or my second which are quite a few weeks younger and not all laying yet. Should have painted their toenails so I knew who is who. Ill look properly tomorrow. Worse than kids lol

As for figuring out if the eggs are fertile, crack one open in a bowl. Move it around until you find a white dot on the yolk. If it is a dot it's not fertile. If it is a bullseye then it is fertile. There are pictures somewhere around here. But I am not sure exactly where.
