First eggs!!!

I have speckled sussex chickens that I bought at day old chicks in late Feb. I wasnt expecting eggs for a few more weeks, so when I went to check the coop I was SO SURPRISED TO FIND 2 EGGS!!! SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW. This is probably the best day in my life.
Heres a pic of the eggs they are pretty small but they are only the first eggs! And exactly the color I wanted!!

Congratulations on you first eggs

. They sure are special aren't they? When we got our first egg twenty something years ago I thought someone was playing a joke on me and put the egg in the coop!! We have some black star chickens that are just starting to lay and it is an exciting time. Good luck with your birds and soon you will have lots of eggs.

Its so egg-citing, isn't it? I never get tired of collecting eggs! Pullet eggs are pretty small to start, then they get larger. Enjoy!

Those scrambled eggs sure look pretty tasty. I like to add some spinach and diced onion to mine. A little parmesan cheese adds a nice touch also.
