My three hens laid their first eggs, with out me knowing. They laid 24 behind a few bushes instead of their nesting box. Now I'm curious as to whether I should put their nesting box behind the bushes for easier maintenance or if I should leave the spot alone.

I would put some golf balls or something like an egg in the nesting boxes. Sometime that will help let them know were they should lay there eggs. You could also put them behind the bushes but I think I would also keeps some in their coop so they can learn were they are supposed to lay. That is exciting!
