First ever egged layed this morning.

You will be surprised if this is your first fresh egg ever.
They stand tall in the pan and don't run all over like the sad store eggs. The yolk will be a nice dark yellow or even orange. The flavor is amazing in those dark yolks.

One thing I will let you know......
With chicken eggs there can be a meat spot or blood spot in them from time to time. I always crack eggs in a separate dish just in case.

It is my first egg ever. Im curious when you pointed out about finding meat spot or blood spot, is that egg considered not eatable at all?

Some meat spots can be rather large. Those I Todd the egg out. Blood spots are not attractive but not deadly either.
:p

As a matter of preference I toss out eggs with those oddities. (Or I go ahead and cook them for my dogs.)

New layers and birds coming back into lay after jolting sometimes have those glitches off and on while things get rolling in the egg department.

Still WAY better than store eggs. :celebrate
