First goose egg!

It's been unseasonably warm here in Iowa. We have two geese and one gander and he's been mating both of the girls fairly frequently, so I figured eggs would soon follow. I didn't expect them so early, figured they'd be into March at least. But one of them dropped their first egg yesterday.

Our oldest daughter found it. She's the most involved/engaged with the chickens and geese, so it was really cool that she found it... and she was VERY excited.

I told her I was really happy she found it because she'll probably remember it for the rest of her life and that makes me happy. Then she found a bunch of eggs pipped in the incubator this afternoon when they got home from school, so lots of excitement on the farm at the moment.
