My first hatch completed last weekend and I was so excited to finally get to see the fruits of my hardwork pay off.
Granted, we got 7 happy healthy little silkie chickens, lost 3 (all of which piped and zipped but didn't make it out of the incubator) and then three eggs that did not even try to hatch (the lady we bought them from marked these three as potential none hatchers) (54% hatch rate for the first time, 70% if we don't count those last three).

Well, I've got the hatching bug, so we (my husband who puts up with my chicken drama) have set again.
Incubator number 1 has a mix of cochin, poland, and buckeyes.
Incubator number 2 has lavender orphingtons.
Ah, so excited, let's see how it goes!
